Hey forrest, I'm a big fan from the city of Gibraltar. Its a small place to the south of Spain (we're British though)but there's a pretty big MMA following here.

Anyways, I've been seeing how everyone's counting you out on your upcoming fight with Nogueira, and then I heard the song "In one ear" by Cage the Elephant.

I thought the words kind of matched what you were going through, and that the song might even fit in as a cool entrance song for UFC 114 (or whenever you do have the fight.)
Just thought I'd throw that out there. I hope you get the chance to read this and good luck.

after forrests performance against silva, i have no respect for forrest. i respect the men and women serving in the military, the police, and the fire dept. yes, forrest used to work for the police in georgia. i respect that. running out of the cage after being humiliated by silva was pathetic. did he train? is silva just that good? did forrest think his underdog strategy would carry him over, like it did against jackson? who knows? what i do know is that forrest never showed up for the silva fight, and lost in the most embarrassing performance i've ever seen. then after 4 months, forrest gives an interview dumping on his fans. forrest...you're an above average fighter, who will never be great, because you're too laid back ang goofy. you have no 'eye of the tiger'. the stephan bonnar fight was two average fighters, with no technique. jackson was a good defensive game plan. that's it. nothing more. how about cutting out the 'aw shucks', laid back, "i just hope i win" act, and fire up some fire. i can't even watch forrest without thinking how sad he performed against silva. truly sad. and don't give me that, " at least he has the balls to get in the ring", garbage. that's his job. he trains all year roung to get in the ring. that's his choice. fighting in iraq, or afghanastan, or being a cop or a firefighter is more dangerous. so let's pretend that forrest is even relevant until he figures out a way to redeem himself against silva.

Hiya, I was wondering if you knew when the UFC will be coming to Australia? If so, would you be up for a few rounds here? I am a huge fan of UFC and missed out on the only tournament, which was in Sydney 21/02/10 as I was away climbing that weekend. I admire your ability/technique. If only others were as passionate. Cheers mickie

Hey Forrest.. i realise that you have a army of minions that read and respond to all your messages and pretend to be you so i am under no illusion of the "personal touch"

however i just want to tell you i read this seminal work recently you may want to give it a once over called "Got Fight" i personally found it F**king Hilarious, i bought the book on a Saturday and read it over the weekend..it held my attention which is unusually considering i can't chew gum, tie my shoelaces and hold a meaningful thought at the same time.
i am over in vegas this year for Blackhat/Defcon security conference (hey security geeks like fighting too) so if you see a English guy stalking you with a camera and asking for a photo and autograph don't give me a bloody nose and a restraining order before i get the photo for the office that i can show off back home. would be great to buy you a beer
additional thoughts couple of books to look at for different reasons:
A Book of Five Rings - by Miyamoto Musao
Rule of the Bone - by Russel Banks
    cheers
