Forrest celebrates UFC Gym at Rosemead Parade
FORREST GRIFFIN TO ATTEND THE ROSEMEAD PARADE TO CELEBRATE NEW UFC® GYM™
Las Vegas, NV (USA) – Ultimate Fighting Championship® light heavyweight fighter Forrest Griffin will be in attendance at the Rosemead Independence Day Celebration Parade on Saturday, July 3rd to help commemorate the opening of the new Rosemead/Los Angeles area UFC® Gym™. This is the second UFC branded gym to open its doors, joining the facility in Concord, CA which opened in 2009.
The 40,000 square foot UFC Gym will feature the latest and greatest in technology and training, with premier fitness and cardio equipment, private MMA training, and Octagon® discipline instruction. Training techniques such as Muay Thai kickboxing, jiu jitsu and self-defense classes will be offered, in conjunction with dry saunas, state-of-the-art locker rooms, and a 1400 square foot “Arm Bar Café.” The gym, located near I-10 and Rosemead Blvd, also has a focus on youth development, as it provides a unique Kid’s Gym with youth training and educational programs.
The Rosemead Independence Day Celebration kicks off on Saturday with a parade that begins at 10:00am. The theme for this year’s celebration is “Today’s Small Town America.” Along with Griffin, the parade will feature 45’ balloons, community groups, and other special guests.Source: UFC

For the third year in a row, FIGHT! Magazine will be an exhibitor at the Arnold Fitness Expo. Stop by booths 437,439, 536, 538 (directly across from the UFC booth) where we’ll be hanging out with fighters, fans, and industry insiders!
Randy Couture, Urijah Faber, Forrest Griffin, Brian Bowles, and Mike Thomas Brown will be signing autographs and FIGHT! will be giving shirts to everyone who stops by and signs up for a one-year subscription. Everyone who stops by the booth will receive one (1) raffle ticket for a drawing on Sat. afternoon when two (2) tickets to WEC 47 will be given away.
FIGHT! will also be throwing the hottest party of the weekend on Friday night at CONTACT. Doors open at 10 p.m. on Fri., March 5, and everyone who gets there before midnight will receive a raffle ticket for a drawing for two (2) sets of two (2) tickets to WEC 47. Immediately following the raffle, FIGHT! will host a ring girl competition, so interested ladies, be ready to strut your stuff! The winner will receive $500, airfare for two and hotel accomodations in Greenville, SC for Greenville Kage Fighting II.
